What does it mean to keep moving when life keeps changing?
T. Rice, advocate, faith leader, and entrepreneur, shares a powerful story of resilience, purpose, and faith through her signature message, "Wellness in Motion."
Over six years, T. Rice walked through some of life's most difficult transitions. In 2020, she navigated divorce after 18 years of marriage while supporting a spouse living with severe mental illness. In 2021, she rebranded her business and restructured her ministry, choosing purpose over pain. In 2022, she experienced the unimaginable loss of her first son to a counterfeit Percocet pill laced with fentanyl and cocaine, and 2 months later, the CFO of her firm died. In 2023, she survived a stroke in her right frontal lobe and recovered in 3 days. In 2024, she was appointed and elected to the Wake County Board of Education—North Carolina's largest school district and the 15th largest in the nation.
The challenges continued. In 2025, she transitioned ministry to the marketplace through MON Christian Gifts in side one of Raleigh, NC's main malls. A month after launch, Nicholas, her youngest son, passed away after a lifelong battle with sickle cell disease. Seven months later, she received her own cancer diagnosis. Following surgery and recovery, she returned in 2026 with an even deeper commitment to helping others live well.
Through every season, T. Rice discovered that wellness is not a destination—it is a daily decision.
"Wellness in Motion" inspires leaders, helping professionals, educators, government leaders, business professionals, and faith communities to embrace the Eight Dimensions of Wellness, build resilience through adversity, and continue moving forward with faith, purpose, and hope—even when life doesn't go according to plan.
