Founder & Executive Director of A Word To Move On Ministries
National Trainer Toshiba Rice, also known as “T. Rice,” is the founding Principal Well-being Consultant of imWell and Pastor of Greater Faith Raleigh. In her role as Principal Consultant her greatest joy is seeing individuals create and live their wellbeing plans for self-care. As a pastor she has witnessed people recover all they felt was loss or unattainable. Toshiba demonstrates how to embrace and align emotional and spiritual wellness with the gospel that says, God has given us “all things“ pertaining to life and godliness.
For over 25 years, T. Rice has consulted on some of local community's most complex challenges. She has served in many citizen leadership roles, as either board chair or board member within government and community organizations. Such as Wake County Public Schools, City of Raleigh, Wake County Human Services, County and State Party Executive Committee, and Raleigh/Wake-Apex NAACP to name a few.
Toshiba is a well-known champion for mental health, suicide and substance use awareness advocate. As an adult, youth & teen certified Mental Health First Aid Trainer she teaches the signs, symptoms, and how to help someone in a mental health, substance use crisis or non-crisis across the nation. Her advocacy for K-12 education and parent engagement in public school is a light in darkness in community and to those she advise in the public sector. This relentless passion stems from her familiar stories of continuous resilience. From supporting spouse with severe mental illness, children with mental health and intellectual development disability, divorce, ministry, business, and grief. T. Rice brings light, hope, and a path forward when she shares her story.
She is an only child, grandmother, and mother to four sons. Two are twins. One twin died on January 14, 2022. However, T. Rice continues to use her positive voice to bring hope to mothers who have lost a child to fake prescription pills, causing an opioid overdose. Some say she makes life’s challenges look easy. Toshiba says, " I'm not perfect, I just live on purpose with peace and resilience."
Her conversations or correspondences always end with "Have a positive and productive day!℠".
Toshiba will forever be a positive voice of direction to equip you for daily life.
